I'm sure the price was because of all the scratches on the end table. My husband used this several times, and the table looks like new. When I was cleaning the living room, I used it on a low boy that we have, and now it looks great, too. We bought an antique cherry china cabinet, same thing: the scratches are gone. It polishes the wood really well. Be sure not to get it on yourself as this will stain clothes. This really is the best product I know for this sort of thing.
