(More customer reviews)I've purchased this product for years and always in retail health stores. Recently the stores I've bought this at have closed or stopped carrying; I put in "special orders" to no avail. Finally I thought of trying Amazon and thankfully found Almond Glow for sale.
I highly recommend this for men's shaving needs--yes, shaving! I've used "shaving oil" for over a dozen years and would never go back to foams or gels. I have my own mix, and use Almond Glow (usually rose as I love the scent) as my "base." I add lanolin oil, vitamin E oil, and a few drops each of clove oil and peppermint oil.
Wash face first, soak beard, apply just enough oil to cover beard, use double-blade (or more--I like the triple's) to shave, splash on additional water if face dries, rinse and towel dry. Obviously, change blades when necessary to ensure proper sharpness; one way I tell is when the blade "drags" even a little. The oil makes the blade glide over the skin while planing off the beard.
Results? I'm shaved very, very close, with no stubble at all; the skin is not only free from razor burn, but soft and smooth to touch. I do not need any after-shave balm as there's no irritation, and the Almond Glow leaves a faint, pleasant odor of roses.
I'm just glad I can still get this stuff!
